It’s fast-paced being a property manager and you spend a lot of time in your car. Sometimes you might spend longer periods in your car than in the office or at home. With so much time being spent in your car, here's some helpful tips to keep you going full-speed in your second office.

First-aid kit

Without any doubt, this has to be the number one priority. When on the go, anything can happen. A first aid kit will help minimise any medical issues you might encounter when out of the office. Your first-aid kit should be carried at all times in the car. Standard first aid kits should include plasters, bandages, antiseptics, scissors, pain killers, and burn cream.

Healthy snacks

Who in this world doesn’t need energy to survive and keep going? Being a property manager, you will be walking a lot as well. So it is better to keep some healthy snacks stocked in the car so that you have better things to eat when stuck outside the office. You can keep some fruits and nuts that you can munch on anytime while on the go.

Water bottle

It is never a good idea to get dehydrated for no reason, especially when you are working. No matter if you keep the air-conditioner running or not; you are likely to dry out your throat. If you stay dehydrated for quite a long time, you can lose a lot of essential minerals from your body. Not just for yourself, you must keep it for your clients as well. Make sure you always have a water bottle in your car.

USB charger

The phones of real estate agents and property managers are always ringing. It seems like their discussions with clients are never-ending. Sometimes, smartphones don’t have enough battery last all day. Having a USB charger in the car will allow you to keep your phone from going flat and stay connected to clients and team members.

Cleaning equipment

You must always make sure that the property you want to sell or rent is clean. Therefore, carrying some basic cleaning products in your car, like glass cleaners, trash bin, dustpan, mini-broom, and paper towels can serve you very well when it comes to finishing touches at open houses.

Umbrella

Who knows when it’s going to pour. If you have an umbrella with you, not only can you keep yourself dry and presentable, but you can also keep your clients dry as well.
